A passion for architecture, a fashion marketing and production background combined with a gregarious personality made real estate a natural career choice for Amy Owens. With a fine eye for seeing the potential in any property, she and her husband Dan totally restored an 1860's Victorian in Glen Ridge. This creative endeavor has given her invaluable firsthand knowledge of the whole restoration process with good local connections. They have recently moved onto their next project a 1911 Craftsman Tudor in Glen Ridge. More importantly, Amy fully understands that real estate is about community as well as architecture and with two of her neighbors, she helped form a neighborhood watch group. They have also been successful in making improvements to their street and reinforcing a real neighborhood atmosphere. Amy and her husband have two little girls, both enrolled in the Glen Ridge school system. This perspective and commitment give her the ability to empathize the priorities of home selection. After growing up in Alabama and earning a B.S degree in Clothing, Textiles and Design from the University of Alabama, Amy moved to NYC where she lived for 12 years and worked in the NYC fashion industry rising to Production Manager for Donna Karan International. Her career experience impact her understanding of commuter needs and her fifteen years experience in managing garment production gives Amy an edge as an experienced negotiator and meticulous facilitator. "My attention to details and to motivating all parties makes me successful as a realtor. I enjoy taking care of the extras for my clients, whether it's meeting with a contractor, hiring a cleaning staff or helping to stage a property for sale." . . .says Amy.
